The 5-5-5 means we will give you the best 5 places to eat, shop and play all within 5 miles and 5 minutes of each our MCLIFE communities.  This blog is going to focus on 5 places to eat near our property, The Place at Rock Ridge in Oro Valley.

All of the choices picked in this blog are all within 5 miles of the property which means you can get there faster to chow down. We are connecting you with our favorite places to eat in Oro Valley.


Oro Valley EAT

El Molinito
Where: 10180 N Oracle Rd Oro Valley, AZ
What: A casual dining spot serving up amazing Authentic Sonoran Mexican Cuisine
Why: It’s yummy and great for family dinner, lunch or large get-togethers. The staff is always very friendly and serves you with a smile. They’re serving up the Mexican dishes you crave!
Must Try: We love the shredded beef tacos, Chile Con Carne Enchiladas. The combination plates a great deal to get you multiple tastes and flavors.

Noble Hops Gastropub
Where: 1335 W Lambert Ln, Oro Valley, AZ 85737
What: Gastropub with seasonal fare & a rotating list of craft brews, plus a scenic outdoor patio & bar.
Why: The patio alone is a reason to go! Share a few small plates with friends and sip a cold beer after work. It’s an awesome, unique spot in Oro Valley.
Must Try: Buttery Bavarian Pretzels small plate (Two fresh baked soft buttered pretzels served with creamy Irish cheddar beer sauce). The Cuban Dip (Cuban roasted pork, shaved ham, pickles, mustard and melted Swiss cheese, on grilled baguette) is our favorite sandwich!

Harvest
Where: Canada Crossroads Shopping Center, 10355 N La Cañada Dr #141, Oro Valley, AZ 85737
What: New American food made from fresh local ingredients.
Why: A relaxing, intimate setting with amazing farm to table fare. Plus they have outdoor seating and a tasty brunch on weekends.
Must Try: Our two favorite openers are the Bruschetta (crostinis topped w/ house-made mozzarella, house-made pistachio pesto, a relish of artichoke hearts & capers, fresh marinated tomato compote, drizzled w/ aged balsamic) and the Greek Tacos (greek seasoned, fresh ground, grass-fed lamb served in grilled pita w/ tzatziki, local organic tomatoes, lettuce, red onions & topped w/ feta cheese). The Gorgonzola Chicken Salad is awesome (organic field greens tossed in gorgonzola vinaigrette dressing w/chilled all-natural pulled chicken breast, cherry tomatoes, toasted pine nuts, onions, roasted corn, grapes & gorgonzola cheese). The Braised Short Rib is great for meat lovers (slow-roasted, braised short rib served w/ whipped yukon gold potatoes, sauteed spinach & seasonal vegetables topped w/ twice reduced short rib jus).

Epazote Kitchen and Cocktails
Where: 10000 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85704
What: New American food. Fine dining with Southwestern inspiration and flair.
Why: It’s delicious, upscale and perfect for a date night or special occasion.
Must Try: If you go during Social Hour, you should try the Chorizo Fries which are served with candied jalapenos and Chihuahua cheese. The Petit Southwest Wedge is also really yummy and only $3 during Social Hour! The Grilled Salmon, Santa Fe Enchiladas and Chile Lime Shrimp Salad are our favorite entrees.

Michelangelo Ristorante
Where: 420 W Magee Rd, Tucson, AZ 85704
What: A local spot for delicious Italian food in Oro Valley
Why: It’s a cozy Italian eatery with Michelangelo reproductions on all of the walls. Intimate and romantic – perfect for date night!
Must Try: They have great appetizers. Check out the “Chicetti – Snack Size” options like the arancini (rice ball, beef + pea ragu, marinara sauce). The Calamari Romano is also tasty.  The Cannelloni Fiorentina (ricotta, sausage, spinach, alfredo cream sauce, mozzarella) and Tortellini (shrimp, roasted red pepper, chipotle cream sauce) are two of our favorite entrees.
