National Nurses day is a great chance for all of us to celebrate the amazing nurses in our lives! Without nurses we would be living with a very different reality. The nurses in our hospitals and care facilities keep the world healthy! Doctors write the prescriptions but the nurses keep us comfortable, safe, company; they feed us, and care for us, they clean up after us, they care.
The Best of the Best: Thank You To All Of Our Nurses
It’s hard work being a nurse. Most days it also means a lot of thankless hours on your feet dealing with overbearing patients, painful loses, and occasionally doctors who have a superiority complex. We know that nurses deserve our love and respect so here are some ways that you can show the nurses in your life that you care! Celebrate National Nurses Day by treating your nurses with kindness and respect.
3 Ways To Show Appreciate To Your Nurses
Ask Questions & Pay Attention
Nurses really wish that you would pay attention when they give you important care instructions. You can do them a great service just by trusting their judgement and paying attention when they tell you things! Take an active role in your own care and ask them important questions. They’re here to help you and they appreciate you being interested in their knowledge and their lives!
Thank Them!
A simple thank you can go a really long way. Many times they have to deal with people who are suffering and they suffer right along with them. They don’t need fancy gifts, though that’s a good idea too, they would appreciate your heartfelt thanks for a job well done.
Trust Their Judgement
Don’t be afraid to trust their judgement. They are expected to know a lot. They go through years of rigorous schooling so that they can take good care of you and your loved ones. Second guessing them constantly and waiting for a doctor to show up hours later and give you the same news is not necessary!
Nursing and Living at MCLife
We love nurses at MCLife! There are a lot of benefits to living at one of our amazing properties. Nurses are among some of preferred employees and the conveniences of living on an MCLife campus are excellent for this lifestyle.
Here at MCLife there are many luxuries that you don’t have to care for on your own. There’s no home maintenance, there are beautiful pools, and spas, along with private parking. Your time off can be spent doing things that you love instead of keeping up with things you’d rather not do! You can see a full list of amenities here.
